Global Test Market Review

Bottom Line: I do NOT recommend Global Test Market

I recommend that you join MySurvey.com instead because it’s a MUCH better-paying survey panel.

Many people who are looking for legitimate surveys for cash websites stumble upon the name Global Test Market. Before you sign up for this site, make sure to read my review and see if this site is one you can trust.

Scam or Legit Survey Panel?

I want to make clear from the very start that this survey panel is NOT a scam or fraud. In fact, it’s one of the most trusted names in market research. They work in the same way as almost any surveys for money site: by giving you money for your opinions. I joined this group about 4-years ago and have been somewhat pleased with the results (although less so lately).

Although I don’t make a enough to live on a beach in Thailand from their surveys, they do pay at about the average rate for a survey panel.

And because of their long-standing status as a reliable survey panel, they tend to have surveys that no one else has.

If you’re still unsure, you should keep in mind that the company has been doing business since 1999, and has been paying people consistently since then. Actually, they have a good standing in the Better Business Bureau as well –something you should always look for before signing up for any paid survey panel.

Now that you know that there’s no Global Test Market scam it’s time to move onto the rest of my Global Test Market review and tell you more about this paid survey opportunity.

My Review of Global Test Market

Let’s talk about how Global Test Market works, how it compares to similar paid survey sites and how to join the site.

This particular survey panel doesn’t reward you directly with cash but instead hook you up with Market Points, which you can turn into cash. However, you should keep in mind that you do need to accumulate at least 1,000 points (which, in Global Test Market points value is equivalent to about $50) before you can cash out.

Because each survey pays very different amounts and different people qualify for different surveys, it’s hard to predict how long it will take you to reach 1,000 points. However, if you focus and dedicate yourself towards taking surveys every week (or even everyday!), you can rack up 1,000 points with ease.

There’s one other thing to keep in mind that any good Global Test Market review would need to mention: age requirements. To join the site you need to be at least 14-years old. While this may seem a bit unfair, please keep in mind that this is the standard policy of most market research panels.

One thing that veteran survey panelists will love is the fact that you’re entered into sweepstakes if you don’t qualify for a particular survey. If you’re new to paid surveys, let me explain why this is so important and how it makes this panel different from most others.

When you join the site, they will ask you some demographic questions to learn more about you and your spending habits. This information also helps determine which surveys you qualify for. However, this information often isn’t enough. For super-targeted surveys, companies need to know a bit more about you. This is often known as a “screening survey” or “pre-survey”.

Many times, after answering a few of these questions, you find out that you don’t qualify for the study (which is a bummer!). However, Global Test Market does actually hook you up with a free sweepstakes entry just for taking the time to see whether or not you qualify for a survey (they used to actually give you points, but they recently changed this policy). It’s not something they have to do so it’s much appreciated by most survey panelists!

Other Reviews From Around the Web

As you can see, I’m a fan of this site and have it in my recommended list of paid survey panels. However, I also like to see what other people think of the site and read their views and reviews. After some digging, here’s what I found.

Most people rave about GTP and even go on to say that they are head and shoulders above any survey site out there. Why? Because they offer so many more surveys than the “other guys”. This is important as the amount of surveys you take is directly proportional to the money you get from them.

However, a few people complained that their customer service wasn’t the best and they took a while to get back to them. Definitely not cool. I’ve never experienced this personally, but I think I only sent them a handful of messages since signing up. One other thing that’s not so great about this panel which I want to mention in this review is that it can take A LONG time to get your money from them (up to 6-weeks for US citizens).
